    Tongyeong International Music Festival, described by the prominent German newspaper, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, as 'the Salzburg Festival of Asia,'
    is one of the most influential and highly regarded classical music festivals in Asia. Stemming from the concert titled 'A Night with the Songs of Isang Yun'
    in 1999 and the 'Tongyeong Contemporary Music Festival' held in 2000 and 2001, it has been held annually from late March to early April since 2002.
    Additionally, despite the challenges posed by COVID-19 in 2021, the festival took a leading role in establishing a safe and systematic disease prevention system, successfully hosting the event.
    Since 2022, the festival's the Artistic Director is the prominent composer Unsuk Chin.
